Set in the Civil Rights Era, a group of young Black girls must band together to defeat a villain trying to silence them and their movement. This film was written by five Black girls who wanted society to recognize that Black women are victims of violence and racial injustice too. They felt that those stories seemed to be less publicized. In addition, the girls hoped this film would help unify the Black community—especially Black women who have been taught to demonize one another.
