Hitler asked his industrial quarter for armaments to reinforce his plan for a mighty new German Army. The finest planes, artillery and tanks, even submarines and battleships were churned out to blitz through most of Europe and the Atlantic. His designers never stopped working. As the Allies gathered their strength and resources for the invasion of mainland Europe, the V1 & V2, Hitler's flying bomb and deadly long-range rocket, rained death and havoc on an already devastated London.
