K, a surfer from the Rockaways, goes out to surf one day and vanishes. Freddie, his grieving lover, avoids K's memorial service and goes to a surf bar. Drawn into a session with a tarot reader, Freddie begins to question his beliefs as he searches for answers, his quest turning serious as the film glides toward a tragic reunion.
