Following the death of their mother, Simon and Jules Cartier discover that their father, whom they believed to be dead a long time ago, is still alive. The brothers end up traveling to the far reaches of the province in hopes of learning more about their nebulous past. A thousand leagues from the comfort of their daily lives, they realize that their father is far from the man they were hoping for. This reunion weekend will end up turning into a real existential nightmare.
