Shota committed a crime when his friends asked him to cooperate. He escapes the police and tries to find a house to use as a hideaway. An old lady, Tae, welcomes him into her house and he begins to live there. When Tae’s granddaughter Kaori visits the house, Kaori hears about a marathon runner on the radio and suggests to Shota that he should start marathon running. This is an ensemble drama about people who are inspired by Takeshi Furuichi, a Kawaguchi City resident and the first Japanese male marathon runner to successfully complete 6 world marathon majors, and how they come to terms with their own lives.
