A Russian-American girl, Vika, tries to connect with her distancing father. Boris is struggling to assimilate to life in America, while Vika longs for her father’s approval. When Boris gets drunk at his Birthday dinner and marginalizes his daughter, Vika decides to venture out into the crude neighborhood and not return home.
